Bought a beautiful set for our den that will be 2 years old the end of June. Called back in March and had to wait 3 weeks for tech to come and look at 2 of my pieces.
We bought a 7 piece sectional minus the curve piece.. We bought the platinum plus protection plan and also paid extra for different fabric and color. We were told the cushions had shape retention. Well we have 2 pieces that are side by side and have a very obvious gap.
When the tech arrived he informed us that wear and tear is not covered.! There is no wear just a large noticeable gap. After several minutes of his messaging the 2 pieces it kind of went back to a lesser noticeable gap. Not satisfied I let him know.
He took pictures and said someone would get back to me. He left knowing how unhappy and not satisfied we were. Within 5 minutes someone from their service department called and told me there is nothing we can do. It's not under warenty.Less then 2 years old and after having my old set for 17 years from Levitz I was totally shocked at their reply.
My old set never had a problem raising 3 active boys in our home. In fact....it was in such great shape it's now in a home in PA! That's because when you take care of something it will last when you buy quality. Their only suggestion was to message it back.
Well that lasted only 3 days when their tech did it. After 3 days gap was back. I have better things to do and for the price I paid I had hoped they would have done the right thing and redid the foam cushions. Now I look at this gab with disappointment and disgust.
It's a shame they will not rectify this. BUYER BEWARE Photos below : first one is no gap on another piece and 2nd photo shows the gap on the 2 pieces I asked to have corrected.
