Not resolved

I purchased a sofa and loveseat 2 months ago from raymour and flanigan. The day the delivered them the loveseat was already broken. The mechanism that is used for the reclining part was broke and couldnt be fixed, they ordered another part, replaced it and it still wouldnt work so they ordered another loveseat, so far this one is working.

But now the cushions that are the armrests are starting to rip up and away from the couch with huge staples that are supposed to be holding these down, and I have been stabbed in my hands and fingers by these staples.

The wood used to build this furniture is very thin I just have to push on it a little bit and it feels like it is going to break right in half.

I have wrote a letter to the credit company for help, we will see. I have tried in good faith with raymour and flanigan to have this furniture picked up I am so disguted and angry, I can no longer let my daycare children or my own grandchildren sit on the furniture anymore so that they are not stabbed with any staples and hurt in any way. Raymour says that they do not take back anything. I think that is a crock of XXXX. I refuse to make any more payments on this so called furniture that cost over two thousand dollars. Two months and its already falling apart. Sad very sad.

i have purchased a sofa and love seat that cost me 2500 dollors and the same thing has been happening. staples are comng out and it looks like ih ave had the furniture for 10 years and it is only 2 years old.


I did mention that I paid over 2000.00 for the furniture. I have stayed in contact with raymour and the credit company and finally we have resolved the matter, they are going to take back the couch and loveseat and give me plantinum store credit to purchase anything else in the store up to the same price.

I am satisfied with that but I do wish that Raymour and Flanagan would stand behind there merchandise a lot more that they do. It definately does not do any good for their reputation.


its funny to me that you write this but your not saying how much you paid for it.. raymour has prices and furniture for all budgets and if this is a major problem for you i would write to the company the have a website where you can talk to a live person
